TED Talk by Artist Who Embraces Imperfections

This is a TED talk from an artist, Alyssa Monks. Since I go by "wabi sabi" on Twitter and Etsy, obviously she and I share a philosophy about loving imperfections. The imperfections are the teachers, they offer the beauty. Of course, she has a very interesting story about what led her to that place.

My favorite lines from her talk deal with the imperfections towards the end of the talk...
"It had to be about implying and suggesting, not explaining or describing. And that imperfect, chaotic, turbulent surface is what told the story. ... in a space where there's no resisting or controlling. I want to make paintings about that."
