I’ve been lazy and ambivalent about social media. I never was popular on Instagram but at least I’d get 10 to 20 likes when I posted an artwork. Now, I seldom get more than 1 although I’ve posted very infrequently. I’m going to give it a try again and so I’m revisiting my old sketch/nature journals and photographing them to add to my Instagram portfolio. This is fun for me because the ones in this thread are from 10-12 years ago. Now that I’m doing exclusively florals, I can draw inspiration from MYSELF. I am so thankful that I took the small effort it took at the time to create these because they are all FAST sketches and now so fun to review. Most of the flowers are either from my backyard garden but even more were collected from hikes. I observe that because I was doing them for no reason I was pretty loose and carefree, something to keep in mind as I try to create similar styles “for sale” on Etsy.
